Springfest is arriving in Southern Pines this Saturday. It will be a day full of fun with arts, crafts, games, rides, food, entertainment, and the annual Youth Bike Races. But to prepare the streets for all the vendors and games, Southern Pines Police Department is reminding citizens of street closures.
Both sides of Broad Street between Pennsylvania Ave. and Connecticut Ave. will be closed from 4 am – 6 pm. East and West New Hampshire Avenues between Ashe Street and Bennett Street will also be closed. The municipal parking area at 135 West New Hampshire Ave. will be closed as well. These locations will be designated as no parking/tow away zones.
The police department announced on social media that “while every effort is made to contact vehicle owners, vehicles will be towed at the owners expense if left overnight.” The towing will begin at 4:00 am on Saturday morning to get the streets ready.
Springfest is a free event and is being held on Saturday, April 28th in Downtown Southern Pines from 10 am – 4 pm.
