A rollover accident outside Vass left three teenagers injured Saturday, including two who had to be airlifted. The single-car accident occurred around 10 p.m. on Keith Road, just off Baker Road.
A Nissan Pathfinder was carrying four teenagers when it ran off the road and overturned, throwing one of the victims from the vehicle.
AÂ female was the first to be airlifted from the scene by a UNC helicopter. Shortly after, a second helicopter from UNC landed to take a male victim to a trauma center. One other male passenger was transported by EMS to Firsthealth Moore Regional. The fourth person in the vehicle was uninjured.
The nature and extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol was on the scene and will be investigating the cause of the accident.
Responding to the scene were Cypress Point Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Highway Patrol.
