Work will soon begin on a project in Pinehurst that will most likely cause traffic delays.
Village of Pinehurst announced the long term construction project on its website Wednesday.
“Beginning the week of July 6, Duke Energy will begin a 10-week project installing underground cabling along Hwy 5 between Hwy 211 and Linden Road,” said the village. “Intermittent one-lane closures will take place Mondays-Thursdays from 9:00 am-4:00 pm and Fridays from 9:00 am-2:00 pm.”
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area. Drivers who must travel there can expect delays and stops.
