Two individuals were taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with minor injuries after a Monday collision on Highway 15-501. The incident happened at the intersection with McCaskill Road in the Eastwood community.
State troopers investigating the crash say a Ford F-350 was traveling southbound, attempted to make a left turn onto McCaskill Road and hit a Ford Taurus traveling northbound.
The Taurus had heavy damage to the front end, and both occupants were transported to the hospital by Moore County EMS. The driver of the F-350 was not injured.
Despite the heavy downpour in the area during the crash, it is not thought to have contributed to the collision.
Northbound traffic on 15-501 was detoured to McCaskill Road.
