The Village of Pinehurst is ready to celebrate Independence Day with two days of activities. The celebrations begin Monday, July 3, at the Pinehurst Harness Track for the concert and fireworks spectacular and continue Tuesday, July 4, with the Independence Day parade.

The gates open at 4 p.m. on July 3 at the Pinehurst Harness Track for the concert and fireworks. The concert, fireworks viewing, and food trucks will all be located on the ½ mile track infield. Visitors can park at the mile track by using the Monticello Rd. entrance.

Continuing the partnership with the Pinehurst Resort, the fireworks will launch from the first hole on course No. 1. This will allow for an even bigger space to spread out and is a perfect vantage point for the infield party.

The band, The Parks Brothers, will rock the stage all night with their multi-decade range of music and high-energy performance. Children’s activities, good music, and fantastic food vendors will all be part of the fun. Gates open at 4 p.m., concerts kick off at 6 p.m., and the fireworks finale begins around 9:15 p.m.

The festivities continue Tuesday morning with the Independence Day parade through the Village. Pets will lead off the parade at 9:45 a.m., and all other entries will start at 10 a.m.

Following the parade, stick around Tufts Memorial Park for the Sandhills Farmers Market, which features some of the many wonderful farms, nurseries, bakeries, meat and egg providers, cheesemakers, and specialty food producers our area has to offer.
