A local woman was arrested for stealing merchandise at Burnery Hardware stores, according to a statement from Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
Detectives arrested Patricia Whitaker Bondurant, 55, of Seven Lakes, Monday. Bondurant was charged with one count of attempted obtaining property by false pretense and two counts of misdemeanor larceny.
“On May 26th, 2020, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Burney Hardware with businesses located in both Seven Lakes and Aberdeen, that a person was responsible for over five hundred dollars in theft of merchandise through a period of a couple of months,” said Fields.
Bondurant was placed under a $10,000 bond, is due in court on August 6, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
