The Town of Robbins is encouraging residents to conserve water usage due to Tuesday evening thunderstorms damaging a Montgomery County water pump, who supplies water to the town.

“We do have water storage, but we encourage voluntary conservation for until 2 PM (No irrigation please),” said Town Manager David Lambert. “We anticipate some areas of town to experience low water pressure.”

The National Weather Service in Raleigh Tuesday had issued a severe thunderstorm warning and flood advisory for Montgomery and Moore Counties.

Lambert said the town will update residents as more information becomes available from Montgomery County.
