18-month-old airlifted after Pinebluff crash

Two vehicles collided at U.S. 1 and Addor Road near Pinebluff on Monday afternoon, just before 3 p.m., resulting in all occupants being taken to the hospital for medical attention. Addor Road was shutdown while the accident was being investigated.

According to officials, a Ford Fusion was crossing from Thunder Road toward Addor Road when a Dodge minivan heading north on U.S. 1 struck it. The Fusion was wrapped around a tree while the Dodge minivan rested against its roof.

Before the Pinebluff Fire Department arrived, bystanders were able to remove all occupants from both vehicles while awaiting help from EMS.

Two children and one adult were reported inside the Fusion, and one child and an adult were inside the minivan. An approximately 18-month-old child was airlifted from a landing zone near the crash site to a trauma center.

Pinebluff Fire Department, Aberdeen Fire Department, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and N.C. Highway Patrol were on the scene.
