Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of two individuals following an attempted felony warrant service that led to a vehicle pursuit across multiple jurisdictions in Moore County.
On March 4, at approximately 9:06 a.m., Moore County sheriff’s deputies arrived at a residence on Sulky Lane in Pinehurst to apprehend two individuals with active felony warrants.
Upon arrival, deputies observed the suspects inside a running vehicle in the driveway, said the sheriff’s office in a press release.
“As deputies approached, the suspects fled, prompting a vehicle pursuit,” said the release. “The pursuit, which began in Pinehurst and extended into Aberdeen, involved officers from the Pinehurst Police Department, Aberdeen Police Department, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. During the chase, the suspects attempted to strike law enforcement officers with their vehicle while reaching speeds of approximately 70 mph. The pursuit came to an end when the suspects’ vehicle collided with an occupied residence on Woodgreen Drive in Aberdeen.”
Following the crash, the suspects physically resisted arrest but were successfully taken into custody, said the release. A resident of the home sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both suspects were transported to Moore Regional Hospital for evaluation before being taken to the Moore County Detention Center.

She was also served with outstanding arrest warrants for felony flee to elude from the Southern Pines Police Department and additional warrants from the Aberdeen Police Department. Peterson received a $160,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on March 12.
