BJ’s Wholesale Club is opening in Southern Pines on March 7. The big box store is located in the Morganton Park South shopping center.
“At BJ’s Wholesale Club our purpose is to serve the families who depend on us,” said Drew Owens, club manager, of the Southern Pines store. “We’re excited to bring unbeatable value and savings of up to 25% off grocery store prices to our newest members in the Southern Pines area.”
The store will have a wide assortment of fresh foods, including fresh produce, a bakery, and a full-service deli, as well as seasonal items, home décor, electronics, apparel, and other everyday essentials.
Additionally, BJ’s offers shopping options, including in-club shopping, ship-to-home, and same-day delivery through BJs.com, curbside pickup, and in-club pickup, as well as through BJ’s mobile app.
The new club will also have a BJ’s gas station on-site. BJ’s provides its members with other benefits, including BJ’s Optical, BJ’s Travel, Home Improvement, and an on-site Tire Center.
The store held a groundbreaking ceremony in August 2024 and announced its partnership with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina: Sandhills Branch.
Through BJ’s Charitable Foundation, the company has committed to supporting the food bank with food donations and funding. The foundation’s mission is to emphasize “critical areas such as hunger relief, education, and health and wellness, striving to make a significant impact in the communities where BJ’s operates.”
“It’s a really great partnership for us,” Terea Kelly, director of regional development of the Food Bank of CENC at Sandhills told Sandhills Sentinel in August 2024. “We’ll receive both funding and donations through their food salvage program.”

New members can sign up for The Club Card Membership at $55 for a one-year membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal and get a $40 welcome reward or The Club+ Card Membership at $110 for a one-year membership with BJ’s Easy Renewal and get an $80 welcome reward. The Club+ Card Membership holders receive 5¢ off/gal. at BJ’s Gas and earn 2% back in rewards on most BJ’s purchases.

Store hours are Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Gas station hours are Monday-Saturday from 6:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
