An Aberdeen man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a Friday news advisory.
Kevin Edward Makely, 31, was arrested in Carthage Thursday.
“On August 20th, 2020 Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Vass-Carthage Road,” said Fields. “During the traffic stop, Deputies located cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia as a result of a vehicle search.”
Makely was charged with felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was placed under a $6,000 secured bond in the Moore County Detention Center, has a Sept. 24 court date, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
