A suspect remains at large after an armed robbery at the Ironwood Cafe in Pinehurst Sunday just after 9 p.m.
Pinehurst Police arrived on the scene and put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) to other agencies for a Black male, 5’7 – 5’8, 250 pounds, driving an early 2000 silver Ford Crown Victoria, said Pinehurst Police Chief Glen Webb.
The suspect was wearing a mask and had a semi-automatic handgun while he entered the back door demanding money. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
There was a heavy police presence at the restaurant, and police could be seen inside the restaurant and behind the building.
Ironwood Cafe is located on Midland Road about a mile from the traffic circle.
