Jewelry worth over $20,000 was stolen in June from a Southern Pines residence.  After an investigation, Moore County Sheriff’s Department identified a suspect, and an arrest was made last Tuesday.

Paul Charles Connor, Jr, 41, was arrested with the assistance of the St. Mary’s Police Department in Georgia, according to Sheriff Neil Godfrey.

Connor was charged with felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, obtaining money by false pretense.

The suspect was placed under a $100,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on September 24, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
