Two people escaped serious injury after a crash involving a rollover.
The incident happened at the intersection of Murdocksville Road and Highway 73 in the Eastwood community of Moore County.
According to authorities, a Honda Civic traveling northbound on Murdocksville Road came to a stop at the intersection. The male driver believed the intersection was a four-way stop and pulled out in front of a Chevy Colorado pickup truck traveling west on Highway 73.
The Chevy T-boned the Honda causing significant damage to the passenger side. The impact caused the Chevy Colorado to flip several times before coming to a rest upright.
Both vehicles were only occupied by the drivers. Both of the drivers were checked out on the scene and were taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital by family in private vehicles.
The driver of the Honda was cited with failure to yield.
First responders at the scene included Eastwood Fire Department, Moore County EMS and the N.C. Highway Patrol.
