Big ideas for small area plans

The Village of Pinehurst invites the community to participate in the second virtual public workshop to gather feedback for two small area plans: Village Place and Pinehurst South areas. The virtual workshop takes place on Wednesday, June 2 from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

During this workshop, village staff and consultants will present initial concept draft plans to the community for consideration. The conceptual drafts to be presented were guided by community ideas from previous public engagement.

The public can register for the second virtual workshop and view more information about the plan on the Engage Pinehurst portal at engage.vopnc.org/smallareaplans.

In February 2021, 148 registrants participated in the first virtual public workshop to voice their observations and concerns about the future of Village Place and Pinehurst South. The public can view the information gathered from the first public workshop on the Engage Pinehurst portal.

Public input and feedback are critical to creating a community-supported vision for Village Place and Pinehurst South. Public participation ensures that the plan addresses community concerns and ideas, fosters an inclusive and transparent planning process, identifies key opportunities and priority areas, and builds momentum to move the plan towards adoption and implementation.
