Blooming Art is back in bloom

Boys & Girls Club members, with help from local artist Courtney Herndon and volunteer Hartley Fitts, displayed their talent as they created paintings made with alcohol ink.

Their beautiful paintings, paired with gorgeous flower arrangements, will be displayed at the “Blooming Art” exhibition. “The Garden Club of the Sandhills is excited about producing the second annual ‘Blooming Art’ and pleased that the children’s art will be displayed,” says Hartley, exhibition chairman. More than 20 works of art interpreted through floral arrangements will be presented by professional floral designers, local artists and garden club members.

Blooming Art 2023 is presented by the Garden Club of the Sandhills, and all monies raised by the event will help the club fund or provide continuing support in the local area with annual scholarships for students in the horticulture program at Sandhills Community College, projects of the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens as well as horticultural programs for the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills.

Blooming Art 2023 will be held at the historic Campbell House Gallery in Southern Pines on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 2, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Venture into the world of flowers and art and enjoy this outstanding experience.
