Moore County Board of Commissioners released their April 17, 2018 regular meeting highlights.
~As East Moore Water District Board of Directors, approved minutes and held a public hearing
regarding funding for the EMWD Phase IV project.
~Received update and FY 19 budget request from Sandhills Center for Mental
Health/Developmental Disabilities/Substance Abuse Services.
~Approved on consent agenda: minutes; budget amendments; tax releases/refunds; SCAAP and
BVP application; amendment to Health Department contract with Advanced Imaging Solutions;
Health Department addendums for Family Planning FY19 funding, General Aid to Counties FY19
funding, School Nurse Funding Initiative FY19, WIC Program FY19 funding, Consolidated
Agreement for FY19; amendment to Health Department contract with Patagonia; lease
agreement for State Employees Credit Union ATM; Sandhills Building Systems, Inc. contract
amendment #2 and capital project ordinance revision #2 for Elections building project.
~Called five public hearings on May 1, 2018, at 5:30pm regarding the following: 1) Conditional
Use Rezoning Request RA‐5 to B‐2‐CZ “Plumbing Knights,” 2) General Use Rezoning Request RA‐
40 to B‐2 “Pee Wee Self Storage,” 3) General Use Rezoning Request Ra to B‐1 “New Covenant
Fellowship Church,” 4) Text Amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance, 5) System
Development Fee Analysis for Moore County Public Utilities.
~Approved contract with Golder Associates, Inc. for the planning, permitting, and design of the
Moore County Cell 6 Landfill expansion and approved associated project ordinance.
~ Awarded audit services contract to Elliott Davis for $52,500 to audit FY 19 and authorized the
Chair to execute subsequent annual contracts for the next four years as proposed in the bid
tabulation upon approval by the County Attorney.
