Cameron man arrested after crack cocaine found in car

A man from Cameron was arrested Sunday after deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department found crack cocaine in his car.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said in a news release that 61-year-old James Loving II was pulled over while traveling in Vass.

“On April 10, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 2800 block of U.S Highway 1 Business in Vass,” said Fields. “During the traffic stop, Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle. As a result of the search, Deputies located crack cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia.”

Loving was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was placed at Moore County Detention Center under a $2,500 bond, is due in court on April 21, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
