Investigators with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man on two fraud charges.
Christopher Kiser, 38, of Carthage, was arrested on May 8 on charges of one count of felony identity theft and one count of felony obtaining property by false pretense.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields issued a press release stating that his department received a report of fraud in the Southern Pines area on May 6.
Kiser was placed at Moore County Detention Center without bond. He is due in court on May 20 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
No other details were provided in the release.
