Carthage man facing charges in exploitation of minor

A Moore County man has been arrested and is facing charges following an investigation into the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.

On January 22, investigators, along with the assistance of Special Agents with the NC State Bureau of Investigations Computer Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant at his residence related to this investigation.

As a result of the investigation, Rogers is facing five counts of felony Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and five counts of felony Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Rogers has been committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on February 19.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office is an active participant in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (NCICAC) Taskforce, which works diligently to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
