Certified nurse midwife joins Central Carolina Women’s Health Center

Love Tetteh, CNM, MSN, has joined Central Carolina Women’s Health Center and is seeing new patients at the practice as of Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Prior to joining Central Carolina, Love worked as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Triangle Women’s Center, providing comprehensive midwifery care to antepartum and postpartum patients. Prior to that, she worked four years as a Medical/Surgical nurse and two years as a Labor & Delivery nurse at Duke University Hospital.

Love received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Liberty University in 2016 and her master of science in nursing (midwifery) from East Carolina University in 2023.

It was during her training at East Carolina that she learned to engage her passion for empowering women in their healthcare. Her passion for women’s health led her to follow her dream to become a nurse midwife.

“I believe in providing equal care for everyone,” Love said. “I am compassionate, empathic and hardworking, and I am eager to utilize my extensive knowledge to elevate patient care and support the growth of Central Carolina Hospital.”

Love’s areas of interest include midwifery, women’s health (annual exams and PAP Smears), prenatal care, postpartum care, labor and birth support, contraception, family planning, IUD placement and removal and Nexplanon placement and removal.

She joins the practice of Hakeem Yusuf, MD; Eyra Agudu, MD; Lakeesha Murphy-Spencer, CNM, MSN, RNC-OB; Colleen Higdon, WHNP-BC; and Holly Drake, CNM, MSN, IBCLC. She is welcoming new patients at Central Carolina Women’s Health Center, located at 1140 Carthage Street, Suite A in Sanford.
