Chamber unveils Public Policy Agenda to drive economic growth, community

The Moore County Chamber of Commerce has unveiled its 2025 public policy agenda, outlining key legislative priorities that promote a strong business climate, economic growth, and enhanced quality of life for residents across Moore County.

The Chamber’s agenda is built around four strategic focus areas: Education & Talent Supply, Competitive Business Climate, Healthcare, and Infrastructure. These priorities reflect the Chamber’s commitment to fostering policies that support business success, workforce development, and community well-being, according to the Chamber.

“Our 2025 Public Policy Agenda is a roadmap to ensure Moore County remains a competitive and thriving place for businesses and residents alike,” said Linda Parsons, president and CEO of the Moore County Chamber of Commerce, in a news advisory. “By addressing workforce readiness, business climate, healthcare access, and infrastructure investment, we are setting the stage for sustainable economic growth.”

Key Policy Priorities Include:

Education & Talent Supply – Advocating for workforce development initiatives, strengthening Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, and supporting policies that align educational institutions with industry needs.

Competitive Business Climate – Promoting policies that drive job creation, support business retention and expansion, and ensure equitable economic development opportunities across Moore County.

Healthcare – Supporting access to high-quality, affordable healthcare, including telehealth expansion, behavioral health solutions, and workforce pipeline improvements in the healthcare sector.

Infrastructure – Advocating for critical investments in broadband expansion, transportation improvements, water and wastewater infrastructure, and housing availability to support economic growth.

“The strength of our local economy depends on sound policies that foster a pro-business environment and support workforce readiness,” said Randy Saunders, 2025 chair of the Moore County Chamber Board. “Our Chamber will continue to advocate for solutions that help businesses thrive while addressing key community challenges.”
