A portion of Highway 211 in Pinehurst was closed Friday afternoon due to a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a pickup truck being flipped onto its side. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 211 and Main Street in front of the Walgreens store.
A driver of a Honda Civic was traveling west as the car approached the traffic light. The driver of a Ford Maverick pickup truck made a left-hand turn into the path of the Honda. The impact caused the pickup to roll over, coming to rest on its side. No serious injuries were reported in the wreck.
Highway 211 was completely shut down for an extended period, causing delays for motorists.
The Pinehurst Police Department is investigating the crash.
Also responding to the scene were Pinehurst Fire & Rescue and Moore County EMS.
