Moore County Sheriff’s Deputy, Detective Sergeant Hannah Mauldin, received the Friend to Friend Outstanding Community Partner Award on Friday evening.

Mauldin works as an Investigator in the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault cases involving children.

The award was presented by Anne Friesen who is the Director of Friend to Friend.  Friend to Friend provides victims of abuse a safe residence where there is an opportunity and support to begin healing physically, emotionally, and mentally.  Friend to Friends mission is “to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking rebuild their lives.”

The award was presented to Mauldin at the Rock N Run Raise Your Voice for Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking Event at National Athletic Village in Southern Pines.

The award reads “The Friend to Friend Outstanding Community Partnership Award is given to an individual who works diligently in our community to combat domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. This year’s award recipient always goes the extra mile to create a safer Moore County. She is an active participant in Task Force meetings and works diligently to combat sexual assault and domestic violence in our community. Her commitment to the community is evident in her willingness to collaborate with other organizations to improve the coordinated community response to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. She is a great asset to Friend to Friend and our clients and never hesitates to offer her assistance. We are proud to present this year’s Outstanding Community Partner Award to Hannah Mauldin, Detective Sergeant with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office!”

In a news release, Sheriff Godfrey stated, “I am extremely proud of Detective Hannah Mauldin and her many efforts to combat domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The Moore County Sheriff’s Office remains blessed to have people like Hannah in our ranks. The entire sheriff office family works hard each day to secure the safety of our citizens through their hard work and partnerships.
