One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon. The crash was reported around 4:20 p.m. near the intersection of Murdocksville Road and Rogers Trail on the outskirts of West End.
Authorities at the scene told Sandhills Sentinel that a minivan crossed the center line and collided with a lawn care company vehicle hauling equipment. Investigators said the driver of the minivan was allegedly distracted while driving, but did not provide further details.
The driver of the minivan was transported to Moore Regional Hospital with unknown injuries.
Murdocksville Road was closed between Juniper Lake Road and Rogers Trail while crews worked to clear debris and remove the vehicles from the roadway.
Units with the Eastwood Fire Department responded to the scene along with Moore County EMS and the N.C. State Highway Patrol.
