Both drivers were able to walk away from a T-bone collision in Cameron on Wednesday. The two-vehicle collision happened on N.C. Highway 24-27 at its intersection with Dalrymple Road just before 5 p.m.
According to officials on scene, a Dodge Ram 3500 traveling west on N.C. 24-27 attempted to make a left turn onto Dalrymple Road. In doing so, the male driver pulled into the path of a Peterbilt service truck traveling east.
The driver of the Peterbilt reportedly braked hard, but still crashed into the passenger side of the Dodge, resulting in heavy damage to the pickup truck.
Neither driver sustained injury as a result of the wreck, and both declined transport.
Emergency units shut down one lane of N.C. 24-27 while crews worked the scene, and one lane of Dalrymple Road was closed at the intersection.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol arrived to investigate the crash.Â
Responding units included the Cypress Pointe Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and N.C. Highway Patrol.
Rockwell Towing towed the Peterbilt truck from the scene.
