There was a four car accident in Aberdeen at US 1 and Johnson Street on Friday night at approximately 7:00 pm.  The driver of a black ford heading north on US 1 ran a red light striking another car which set off a chain reaction resulting in damage to four vehicles.  As the black ford ran the red light, it struck a newer model Cadillac driven by an elderly male.  The Cadillac then struck a white SUV pushing it back into a white pickup truck.  Three of the drivers were transported to Moore Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The driver of the white pickup was not injured.  Both lanes of US 1 north bound as well as Johnson Street were shut down, and the traffic was rerouted. Responding to the scene were Moore County EMS, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, and the Aberdeen Police Department.
