Man arrested for breaking into cars in Aberdeen, Southern Pines

Aberdeen Police Department said an arrest has been made in its vehicle breaking and entering case.

Twenty-five-year-old Usher Daquan Wright Robinson, of Southern Pines, was arrested on Feb. 19 and is facing charges of four counts of felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle and one count of felony larceny of a firearm.

“On September 6, 2023, Patrol Officers and Investigators with the Aberdeen Police Department responded to the Kensington Village neighborhood in reference to multiple vehicles being entered, via unlocked doors,” said Aberdeen Police Chief Brian Chavis in a statement to Sandhills Sentinel. “One victim reported that he had a firearm stolen from within his vehicle as well.”

Chavis stated that the perpetrator also broke into cars in Southern Pines, although the specific locations were not disclosed. The Southern Pines Police Department recovered the stolen firearm.

The suspect’s secured bond was set at $25,000.

He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
