Barbara Ann Davis, 82, of Jackson Springs, NC, passed away on January 15, 2026, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Born on March 30, 1943, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Donald and Adelaide Siems. Barbara was a devoted registered nurse who dedicated more than 50 years of her life to caring for others. She spent much of her nursing career working in the operating room, serving patients in both New Jersey and Florida. Nursing was more than a profession to Barbara; it was her calling, and she took great pride in her work and the lives she touched along the way.
Barbara had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs and cats, who were a constant source of comfort and joy in her life. She also found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved knitting, tending to her gardens, and enjoying time at the casino, where she could relax and have a little fun.
Two and a half years ago, Barbara moved to North Carolina with her daughter, beginning a new chapter surrounded by family. She cherished this time together and the comfort of being close to loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Peter “Harry” Davis; brother-in-law, David Lauterborn; and nephew, Martin Gile.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Marianne Davis-Gribbon and son-in-law, James Gribbon; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Megan; one sister, Abigail Lauterborn and her children, Alan, Mark and Terry; also survived by her beloved dog, Riley.
