Two vehicles collided on Saturday afternoon at the south gate on Seven Lakes Drive, directly in front of Chapel in the Pines.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m. and left both vehicles with heavy front-end damage. The red Honda SUV sustained severe damage from the force of the impact and appeared to have crashed into a nearby fence after leaving the roadway.
Traffic in the area was heavily congested while first responders worked to remove the vehicles from the road and investigate the scene.Â
Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles safely, and no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.Â
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no details regarding the cause were released on scene.Â
Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department, a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper, and the Seven Lakes Fire Department responded to the scene.Â
