Viewing at 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM: Saturday, April 6, 2024, both at First Missionary Baptist Church, 315 S. Gaines Street, Southern Pines.
Interment: Mt Hope Cemetery, Southern Pines.
Survivors: Son, Gary Burns; three daughters, Tonya Taylor, Tara Burns, and Sharon Destephano; four sisters, Johnnie Mae Mincer, Beulah Covington, Etta Rose Carter, and Elizabeth Ann Mack; four grandchildren, Gary Burns, Jr., Dynesha Parker, Daquan Burns and Brittany Burns; seventeen great-grandchildren; as well as a special nephew and niece, Mr. Anthony (AD) and Iris Dickerson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
