Penda Kail Soles, age 77, of Whiteville, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 9, 1949, in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eva Nobles.
She is survived by her husband, Raeford Soles of the home, one daughter Angela Thompson (Adam) of Clarendon, NC, one son Randy Nealey (Frankie) of Sanford, NC, and two grandsons, Dalton Thompson and Nolan Thompson.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, with burial to follow at McPherson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church.
