Three people are facing charges after a multi-agency drug investigation led to search warrants at residences in Southern Pines and Lakeview, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Ronnie Fields said detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Aberdeen Police Department, executed the search warrants July 28. During the searches, investigators reportedly seized suspected cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and U.S. currency.
Authorities arrested Trey Dowd, 26, of Southern Pines, and charged him with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dowd was also served with outstanding warrants alleging multiple cocaine trafficking offenses, including trafficking by possession, sale, delivery and transportation; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; sale and delivery of cocaine; felony possession of cocaine; maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was given a $200,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Aug. 13.
Lauren Platt, 26, of Southern Pines, was also arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Platt was given a $7,500 secured bond and is also scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Aug. 13.
Investigators also arrested Trandon Harris-Dowd, 23, of Lakeview, and charged him with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the sheriff’s office, Harris-Dowd was also served with outstanding warrants alleging multiple cocaine trafficking offenses, including trafficking by possession, sale, delivery and transportation; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; sale and delivery of cocaine; felony possession of cocaine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Harris-Dowd was given a $176,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Aug. 13.
All charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
