A Carthage man faces multiple felony drug and firearms charges after a search warrant was executed at his residence, leading to the seizure of several controlled substances, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Ronnie Fields said detectives executed a search warrant July 30 at a residence in the 300 block of Stanton Hill Road in Carthage.
During the search, investigators reportedly seized more than 3.5 pounds of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, THC concentrate, liquid methadone, drug paraphernalia, firearms and U.S. currency.
As a result of the investigation, Asa Warf, 45, of Carthage, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, manufacture of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance, felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Warf was given a $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Aug. 20.
All charges are allegations, and Warf is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
