Bonnie Mae Hollyfield Caddell, 84, of Vass, NC, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst.
Bonnie was born March 29, 1940 in Moore County, NC to the late Clarence and Sarah Draughn Hollyfield.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Loomis (Norm), Johnny Ray Harper (Jennifer), Samantha Collins, Misty Ring (Jesse), Marie Dutton (Chris) and Josh Fore (Tammy); 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Caddell in 1968; her three children, Vicki Fore, Pamela Collins, and Terry Caddell; and her granddaughter, Kristy Collins Kimball.
Bonnie worked for the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina as a food and event coordinator. She worked primarily for the Cameron Boys Home, but also traveled throughout the state of NC coordinating events. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church. Bonnie loved visiting with family and friends, cooking, crocheting, playing bingo, and listening to live music. She was a loving wife, mother, and Memaw.
A graveside service will be held on at New Home Baptist Church, 1000 Lobelia Road, Vass, NC 28394 on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
