Dan Eugene Johnson, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, November 22, 2019 at Transitions Hospice Care in Raleigh, NC.
Dan was born March 4, 1945 in Fuquay Varina, NC to the late Douglas Ray Johnson Sr and Lessie Barbour Johnson. He grew up in Wake County, graduated from NC State University and served in the U.S. Air Force. He spent most of his working career as a Corporate Pilot. He had three great loves in life; God, family & friends, and flying.
He is survived by three brothers Douglas Ray “DR” Johnson, Jr. (Kay) of Vass, NC, James E. Johnson (Peggy) of Lake City, FL, and Carl Johnson (Deanna) of Carthage, NC; sister-in-law Peggy Johnson of Foxfire, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Donald L. Johnson of Foxfire, NC.
