Mr. David Mitchell Stevenson, 72, of Aberdeen, NC, died Sunday, February 23, 2020, at FirstHealth/Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.
Funeral Service: Saturday, February 29, 2020, 12:00 Noon, Southern Pines Primary School auditorium, 1250 W. New York Avenue, Southern Pines, NC.
Walk-Through Viewing: Friday, February 28, 2020, 4-6:00 PM, Simon Funeral Home Chapel, Southern Pines.
Viewing: Saturday, February 29, 2020, 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, at the school.
Interment: Avery’s Chapel FWB Church Cemetery, Raeford, NC.
Mr. Stevenson was a United States Army veteran and was employed by Pinehurst Resort.
Survivors: Wife, Cheryl Stevenson; children, Mitchell Stevenson, II and Jasmine Jean Stevenson; mother-in-law, Val Jean Burke; siblings, Jasper Dwane Stevenson and Ranea Lloyd; brothers-in-law, Dr. Clarence Burke (Syvil) and Gerald Burke; and other relatives.
