obituary Delphia Campbell Honeycutt Vass

Delphia Campbell Honeycutt, age 85, of Vass, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Grove Cemetery with Rev. Horace E. Warwick officiating.

Delphia was born in Scotland County on August 23, 1934 to the late Floyd S. and Myrtle Buie Campbell. She was a member of Aberdeen Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her strong work ethic and love of her church made her an inspiration to her family, grandchildren and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Larry Honeycutt of Vass, Allen Honeycutt and wife Connie also of Vass, Barbara Jean Thomas and husband Gene of Pinebluff; sisters, Nancy Douglas of Laurinburg, Jeanette Smith of Kernersville; brother, Bernice Campbell of Laurinburg; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lee Honeycutt; great-grandson, James Starling; sisters, Carolyn, Gertrude, Pat and Bert; brothers, Robert, Harold and Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Delphia Honeycutt to Aberdeen Pentecostal Holiness Church, 217 Pinehurst St, Aberdeen NC 28315.
