obituary Matthew Lee Northcutt Seven Lakes

Matthew Lee Northcutt, age 44, of Seven Lakes, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst after a long battle of ALS.

Matthew was born on June 2, 1975 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Roger Lee Northcutt and Deborah Rogers Northcutt.  He attended Grace Community Fellowship Church in Ramseur, NC. Matthew was employed by the NC Department of Commerce where he served as an Agricultural Consultant. He loved to hunt, water ski, being outdoors and living his life to the fullest.  Matthew will forever be remembered as a loving son, husband and father who cherished his family.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Tammy Mitchell Northcutt of Seven Lakes; his children: Mitchell, Brantley and Lexie of the home; his mother, Deborah Rush and husband Roger Racster of Seven Lakes; his father Roger Northcutt and wife Debbie of Indiana. He is also survived by his brother, Quinton Northcutt of Indiana and his step-brother, Matthew Wall of Indiana; his maternal grandparents: Larry and Virginia Davis of Florida and Martha Rogers; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mike and Darlene Mitchell of Franklinville, NC; two sister-in-laws: Tabitha Alley and husband Brian of Franklinville, NC; Tracy Troutman and husband Ben of Asheboro, NC and a brother-in-law Travis Mitchell and his wife Sara of Franklinville, NC; 2 nephews and 5 nieces also survive him.  Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Rogers; his paternal grandparents, Agnes Stafford and Robert Northcutt; and a nephew, Aiden Troy Northcutt.

A drive-by visitation will be held at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes on Friday, April 24, 2020 from 3-5 p.m. Those attending are asked to remain in their cars and follow the traffic pattern to greet the family.  A private family funeral and burial will be held on Saturday.
