Donald Eric Pearce, age 71, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Central Carolina Hospital.
Donald was born on June 3,1951 in Massachusetts, to the late Warren Pearce, Sr, and the late Elizabeth Berglund Pearce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Pearce.
Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. He served two years as Assistant State Captain in Massachusetts.
Donald was a devout servant of the Lord. He was ordained through the United National Church in Dallas, TX, after taking courses through them and Liberty University. He performed a few marriage services which brought him great joy!
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Harrington Pearce. They frequently enjoyed camping and planned to celebrate their ninth year of marriage in Charleston, SC, in May. He is also survived by his children, Donald E. Pearce, Jr of Carrboro, Daniel E. Pearce of Carrboro, Denise and Robert Caylor also of Carrboro, and Douglas E Pearce and his significant other Joanne Barry of Cameron. He is also survived by the following grandchildren; Tyler Mason Pearce, Ada Rayne Caylor, and Ricky Alexander Brown of Carrboro, Mason James Pearce of Cameron, and Devosha Pearce and Destiny Pearce of MA.
Donald is survived by three step children and their spouses,Robert and Trina Harrington of Bourne, MA, Brian and Kelly Harrington of Mansfield MA, and Elizabeth and Michael Wohlfarht of Poughkeepsie NY. Donald was also step grandfather to six of Nancy’s grandchildren, Victoria and Catherine Harrington of Bourne MA, Sarah and Ella Harrington of Mansfield MA, and Emoree and Miller Wohlfarht of Poughkeepsie NY.
Donald will also be greatly missed by his siblings, his sisters, Elizabeth Blackstone of PA, Judith Houtman of MA, his brothers, Warren and Gregory of MA. David of FL, and Alan and Jeffrey of NC. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
