John “Johnny” Junior Ring, age 77, of Cameron, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2025, at his home, with family by his side.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Red Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Carthage with Tim Coe officiating.
John was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, to the late Alva Ted Ring and Gladys Louise Marks Ring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ila Ross, brothers, Tommy and Curtis Ring.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sylvia Ring; son, Danny Ring (Lisa) of Ohio, daughter, Louise Hardy (David) of Vass; grandchildren, Daniel, Alex, Macala, Novalyn; great-grandchildren, Mason, Everly, Nora; sisters, Margie Barnes of Statesville, Mary Alice Whitaker of Carthage; brother, Buster Ring of Southern Pines.
John spent his working career as a carpenter for 35 years. Some of the things he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, and cooking Sunday dinner for his family. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. John will be greatly missed.
