Obituary for Randy Lee Bryan

Randy Lee Bryan departed this earthly world quietly on July 9th, 2023, but he left it with many more friends they he ever imagined.  Randy was born and lived most of his life in Baltimore, Maryland.   Randy lived a tough life on the streets of Baltimore that would have made most people give up on their fellow man, but that was not Randy.

Instead, Randy tried to find the good in everyone he met. He always sought to help others in need with food, a ride to the doctor, or any other simple tasks within his power.  A constant volunteer, his bright smile and willingness to help was greatly appreciated by everyone he met.  As a Knight of Columbus at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, he exemplified their tenet of Charity.  This was best exemplified by Randy’s continual contributions to operation LAMB, which provides support to Moore County Special Needs classrooms.

Randy gave greatly of himself regardless of the person’s stature or the hardship to himself.  He suffered much the last several years, but never lost his sense of humor, or his faith in God.   Like Job,  “Naked I come from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.  The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”  (Job 1:20-21)

A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Anthony’s in mid-August at a date to be confirmed and Randy’s ashes will be interned in Maryland.
