Kris served in senior management at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. In New York City, she served as CFO of Union Theological Seminary and later as CFO of Trinity Church Wall Street.

When Bob and Kris moved to Pinehurst they became members of the English Speaking Union. Bob served on the Board’s Program Committee bringing national speakers engaged in International Relations while also beginning a discussion group for its members.
