Roy Conner Jr, 71, of Aberdeen NC, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Conner was born January 31, 1949 in Laurinburg NC to the late Roy Henry Conner and Mary Lucy Clark Conner of Hasty NC.
Mr. Conner served in the USMC. After his term in the USMC, Mr. Conner found his passion in brick masonry, where he owned and operated Conner masonry of Moore County for 45 years.
He retired in 2010 due to health reasons.
Mr. Conner was a loving and devoted husband father grandfather and friend, to know him was to love him.
Mr. Conner was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed vacationing with his wife in the mountains of NC.
Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Leslie Conner and three sisters, Georgia Annette Carter, Nancy Luella Conner and Mandy Kathleen Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Conner of the home, two children Sabrina Guinn, of Aberdeen, and Jerry Guinn Jr, of Aberdeen, and eight grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
At this time, there are no arrangements due to covid-19. Mrs. Conner plans a service at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thank you to his two nurses that he adored, Angela Cornelison and Renette Rodden, Dr. Antil and staff of Pinehurst and to Mrs. Conner’s brother, Chris. We love and appreciate you all.
