One person was airlifted to a local trauma center after being in a vehicle accident near Eagle Springs. Several others were also injured and transported by EMS to the hospital.
A number of emergency units responded to the accident on Highway 211 in front of Ben’s Ice Cream on Saturday.
One person was airlifted to an area trauma center after being involved in a vehicle accident near Eagle Springs.
The highway was shut down in both directions from Big Oak Church Road to Eagle Branch Road for several hours while first responders worked the scene.
A man said he was pulling into Ben’s Ice Cream when a vehicle tried to go around him and collided with two other cars.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol was investigating the accident.
The conditions of the people injured are unknown at this time.
