A two-vehicle accident took place in West End on Thursday morning, resulting in one person being airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Seven Lakes Fire and Rescue said on its Facebook page that both drivers escaped their vehicles after ending up in a field off Carthage Road near Thomas Place. During the crash, a pickup truck flipped upside down.

The driver of the sedan was airlifted from the accident site by MedCenter Air. The driver of the pickup truck declined to go to the hospital.
State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
