First responders thank you tribute Moore Regional

Local first responders conducted a parade of lights at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital Friday to honor our health care workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Moore County first responders drove their vehicles with sirens and lights on as a crowd cheered and clapped. The parade began on Page Road and circled the FirstHealth campus onto Memorial Drive at noon, said Emily Sloan of FirstHealth.

“Our healthcare workers are on the frontlines of battling the Coronavirus (COVID-19),” said Southern Pines Police Department on social media. “They are putting themselves in the path of this virus every day. Doctors, nurses, technicians, transporters, pharmacists and everyone who supports patient care are rising to the occasion helping others.

“The dedication, commitment and courage of all those working at the hospital deserve our deepest gratitude and admiration. Thank you to all at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, your humility, intelligence, kindness and strength are greatly appreciated.”

Area churches also showed appreciation and gratitude to the hospital recently.

A few weeks ago, two churches came together at the hospital to hold a prayer vigil for staff and patients.

Around 60 people from Turning Point Worship Center, of Aberdeen, and RockFish Church, of Raeford, came together at the main entrance and E.R. entrance. They lined the sidewalks six feet apart with signs of encouragement.
