An undefeated record usually tells a simple story. For Pinecrest High School varsity women’s lacrosse team, it’s anything but.
At 17–0, with eight conference wins securing the top spot in the division, the team has climbed to number one in North Carolina, top 10 in the South, and ranks among the top 50 programs nationally. But what separates this group isn’t just winning, it’s how they’re doing it.
This is not a team built around one or two stars. It’s a system.
Seven different players have already eclipsed the 30-goal mark this season, creating an offense that comes in waves. Senior captain Peyton Page leads in goals this season and collected over 200 high school career goals so far. Page will continue her career at the Division I level with American University this fall, but she’s far from alone.
Teammates Virginia Grey Sutton, freshman, Riley Kennedy, junior, Cameron Haracz, sophomore, Kassidy Haracz, freshman, and Anna Page, freshman, have collectively earned over 132 goals and 76 assists, ensuring opposing defenses can’t key in on a single threat. Riley Kennedy is already committed to Lenoir-Rhyne University, Division II, for fall 2027.

And when opportunities come, they’re not wasted. Multiple players are converting more than 70% of their shots, a level of efficiency rarely seen at the high school level.
That balance extends beyond scoring. The team’s ball movement and decision-making have produced standout assist numbers across the roster, reinforcing a pass-first mentality that keeps defenses scrambling.
Possession has been another defining edge. Strong performances at the draw circle—led by Cameron Haracz, sophomore, consistently give the Lady Patriots control from the opening whistle.
Defensively, the team brings the same intensity. Over 55 caused turnovers by players like captain Tate Butka, senior; captain Keeley Ferdinand, senior; Sarah Tepatti, sophomore; and Gabrielle Donze, junior, combined with relentless ground ball play (over 55 ground balls), have turned stops into fast-break opportunities.
Tate Butka is committed to playing at Methodist University, Division III, and Keeley Ferdinand is committed to playing at Clark University, Division III, this fall.

When opponents do manage a shot on goal, junior captain Sam Lineback has been a steady last line of defense, recording 101 saves on 167 shots faced this season, bringing her to over 400 high school career saves. Lineback is already committed to East Carolina University, Division I, for fall 2027.
At the center of it all is Head Coach Captain Jacqueline Page, who has led the program for three years while simultaneously serving as Company Commander for HHC, 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team within the 82nd Airborne Division.
In that time, she has transformed Pinecrest into one of the most competitive programs in the state and in school history, building a structured, high-accountability culture that shows up in everything from daily practice standards and player development to game strategy and team identity.
Her impact extends well beyond Pinecrest. She serves as head coach for the Ultimate Carolina 2027s. She has helped develop athletes across the state, with 12 players she has coached or mentored now committed to play at the collegiate level, ranging from Division I to Division III, representing the full spectrum of competition Pinecrest has faced.
Alongside Head Coach Jacqueline Page is Coach Tanner Page, who helped establish the program more than four years ago and continues to serve as its operational backbone. From organizing travel and coordinating game-day logistics to ensuring players and coaches can perform at their best, her behind-the-scenes leadership has been instrumental in building the structure and consistency that define the team today.

Together, these coaches have built a program rooted in discipline, accountability, and trust.
That culture shows up everywhere, like a freshman class (Anna Page, Virginia Grey Sutton, Eden Whitfield and Kassidy Haracz) that has already contributed more than 130 goals this season to a roster featuring three sets of sisters competing side by side, creating a level of chemistry that’s hard to replicate (Peyton and Anna Page; Keeley and Molly (sophomore) Ferdinand; Cam and Kassidy Haracz).
It also extends beyond the field. Senior defender Abi Kreh has been accepted to all three U.S. military academies and has committed to the United States Naval Academy, reflecting the same commitment to excellence that defines the program.
With postseason play approaching, Pinecrest isn’t just winning games; they are setting a standard for what a complete team looks like: efficient, unselfish, disciplined, and versatile.
