Pinehurst CTC receives grant cover medication-assisted treatment

Pinehurst Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) announced it has received a grant through the 21st Century Cures Act that will allow it to cover medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, for adults who meet certain eligibility requirements.

Pinehurst CTC offers medication-assisted treatment for adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder. Studies have shown that this research-based approach, which combines medication with counseling, promotes better long-term recovery outcomes.

Individuals may qualify to receive free MAT at Pinehurst CTC through June 30 if they meet the following criteria:

Age 18 or older;

Currently uninsured;

Annual income of less than $34,000.

To qualify, individuals must also reside in one of the following counties:

Anson;

Guilford;

Harnett;

Hoke;

Lee;

Montgomery;

Moore;

Randolph;

Richmond.
