Pinehurst Medical Clinic opens drive-thru pharmacy

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) announced its drive-thru pharmacy is now available as a resource to the community. Conveniently at PMC’s newest location, PMC — Morganton Park, 200 Pavilion Way, Southern Pines, the pharmacy will operate Monday — Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a walk-in option available. The pharmacy at PMC — Morganton Park was previously located at PMC — Heather Glen.

As the first medical organization to offer a drive-thru pharmacy in Moore County, PMC will provide its already established pharmacy services for the community to pick up new prescriptions or refill current ones. The pharmacy will accept prescriptions for patients regardless of whether or not it’s a PMC physician ordering the medication(s).

“When Pinehurst Medical Clinic initially opened its walk-in pharmacy, the thought behind it was to offer the convenience to patients of picking up their prescriptions after an appointment with their provider — a one-stop-shop,” said Craig Crowe, RPh, PMC pharmacy manager. “The addition of a drive-through option expands this convenience and allows us to continue our commitment of providing the highest quality of care to our patients and communities we serve.”

The drive-thru resource was incorporated into the new building design to improve the accessibility of PMC pharmacy and is one of the many ways PMC continues to keep patient-centered care at the core of the organization’s growth strategy. PMC pharmacy offers prescription refills and a wide variety of over-the-counter medications.
